Dr. Alan Dalessandro has spent 47 years focused on one goal: saving teeth and rebuilding smiles through advanced periodontal and implant surgery. A graduate of Loyola University School of Dentistry and the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, where he completed a specialty residency in periodontics, dental implants, and intravenous sedation, Dr. Dalessandro also completed a Fellowship in Anesthesia and Medicine at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center. He opened his Hoffman Estates practice in 1981 and has treated patients from across the Chicago area ever since. What sets Dr. Dalessandro apart is rare: he holds a Class B Sedation License from the State of Illinois, one of very few dental surgeons in the state authorized to administer deep conscious general anesthesia in an office setting. This means patients who need complex procedures or struggle with dental anxiety can be treated safely and comfortably without a hospital referral. Dr. Dalessandro has lectured for more than 25 years to dental professionals across the United States and worldwide on periodontal surgery, CT imaging, laser techniques, and practice management. His clinical work integrates lasers, 3D cone beam imaging, and ceramic implant technology to deliver minimally invasive care with precise results.
