Dr. Amrittej Virk is a board-certified specialist in orofacial pain and dental sleep medicine, and one of fewer than 300 dentists in the United States to hold active Diplomate status from the American Board of Orofacial Pain. He earned his DMD with Honors in Community Oral Health from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he also completed a Certificate in Pain Science and Practice. His specialty training included a residency at UCLA School of Dental Medicine and an externship at the Massachusetts General Hospital Orofacial Pain Clinic, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Virk serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Texas A&M College of Dentistry in Dallas and remains active in clinical research through both the UCLA Orofacial Pain Clinic and the Texas A&M Dental College sleep research program. He takes the time to evaluate each patient's full clinical picture, from head and neck mechanics to jaw joint function, and works alongside medical and dental colleagues to deliver individualized, nonsurgical care at Texas TMJ Sleep and Facial Pain.
