Dr. Ashley Barnes holds a DDS and a Master's degree in Orthodontics, both earned at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After completing all three levels of her dental and specialty training at Marquette, she joined her father, Dr. Eric M. Barnes, at Braces by Barnes in Chicago. Together they bring more than 30 combined years of orthodontic experience to the South Side community. Dr. Barnes completed the Charles H. Tweed orthodontic course and both the McLaughlin and Pitts Masters programs, advanced clinical training in biomechanics and bracket systems that produces faster, more comfortable treatment outcomes. She holds active memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois Society of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society. Patients who see Dr. Barnes describe her as knowledgeable, compassionate, and thorough, a doctor who takes time to answer every question and explains each step of treatment clearly. As a certified Invisalign provider, she uses the iTero digital scanner to create a precise 3D map of each patient's teeth before treatment begins, giving patients a preview of their results from the very first appointment.
