Dr. Brett E. Gilbert is a board-certified endodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, the highest credential available to a root canal specialist. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2001 and completed his specialty certificate in Endodontics there in 2003. Dr. Gilbert brings an uncommon combination of clinical precision and academic depth to his work at Northwest Dental Specialists. He serves as a professor in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago and founded Access Endo, a global education platform that trains dentists around the world. The Seattle Study Club named him one of the top ten young dental educators in America in 2017, and Course Karma awarded him the People's Choice Top Instructor award for Endodontics in 2020.
