Dr. Brigitte Lovell, DMD, is a board-certified orofacial pain specialist at Community Memorial Health Center in Oxnard, California. She holds Diplomate status from the American Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP), a credential she has maintained since 2010 that is held by a small number of dental professionals in the United States. Dr. Lovell completed a two-year post-doctoral residency in orofacial pain at UCLA School of Dentistry, then advanced her training with a neurology headache fellowship at the Jefferson Headache Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, one of the country's most respected headache medicine programs. She graduated from the inaugural dental class of the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health at A.T. Still University. Dr. Lovell treats the full range of chronic headache and facial pain conditions, including migraine, TMJ disorders, trigeminal neuralgia, neuropathic pain, and obstructive sleep apnea. Her cross-disciplinary training in both dentistry and neurology gives her a diagnostic framework that most providers in either field cannot replicate on their own. She is a frequently invited speaker at headache and dental conferences and pharmaceutical sessions nationwide.
