Dr. Darren C. Pakravan is the founder and lead orthodontist at Windy City Orthodontics in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. A Chicago native who grew up in the northern suburbs, Dr. Pakravan earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Science at Northwestern University before completing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and a Master of Science with specialty training in orthodontics, both at the University of Illinois Chicago. He also completed a year of hospital dentistry at Evanston-Northwestern Healthcare, a rigorous clinical setting that refined his diagnostic skills before he focused exclusively on orthodontics. Dr. Pakravan holds active membership in the American Association of Orthodontists, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the Midwest Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society. He founded Windy City Orthodontics on the principle that every patient, whether a child, teenager, or adult, deserves care customized to their specific bite, schedule, and goals rather than a standardized protocol.
