Dr. David C. McClenahan is a board-certified periodontist and the founder of North Suburban Periodontics in Libertyville, Illinois. He holds the Diplomate credential from the American Board of Periodontology, a designation that requires passing both written and clinical examinations beyond the standard specialty certificate. Dr. McClenahan completed his undergraduate studies at Valparaiso University, then earned his DDS and Certificate as a Specialist in Periodontics from the University of Illinois School of Dentistry, where he later served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics.
