A Northwestern University-trained orthodontist, Dr. Skarin earned his DDS in 1978 and completed his Master's degree and orthodontic specialty certificate at Northwestern in 1980. He later returned as a clinical instructor, training orthodontic residents there for thirteen years. His understanding of patient comfort is personal.
