Dr. Elizabeth Razdolsky Michalczyk brings a rare combination of clinical orthodontic expertise and doctoral-level research to her patients at Forever Smiles Orthodontics in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. She completed a seven-year dual-degree program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, earning both her DMD and a PhD in tissue engineering and wound healing, a scientific foundation most orthodontists simply do not have. After completing a craniofacial fellowship and orthodontic residency in Atlanta, she returned to the Chicago area to build a career spanning everything from early childhood intervention to complex surgical cases. Dr. Michalczyk has authored 17 peer-reviewed papers in journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Scientific Reports (Nature), and the American Journal of Physiology. She was nominated to the Pierre Fauchard Academy, received Recognition of Excellence in Research from Emory University, and was named Best Orthodontist in the Women in Medicine 2025 Edition. Outside her private practice role, she serves as craniofacial orthodontist at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, treating infants and children with cleft lip and palate conditions.
