Dr. Bita Fayz has practiced periodontics in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood since 1992, building more than 32 years of focused clinical experience. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Bordeaux in France, then completed post-graduate training in Periodontics and Implantology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. A Master's degree in Histology from the same institution gives her a tissue-level understanding of how gum disease progresses and responds to treatment that few periodontists possess. Dr. Fayz is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, and previously served on faculty at Marquette University and Northwestern University Dental School. She serves as President of the Chicago Dental Society's Kenwood/Hyde Park branch and founded the Hyde Park Study Club, where she lectures on advances in periodontics and implantology. As founder of Hyde Park Periodontics & Implant Solutions, she leads a team built around individualized patient care. Dr. Fayz understands that many patients feel anxious about oral surgery and extractions, and she approaches every case with the precision of an academic and the patience of a clinician who has spent three decades earning trust in the same community.
