About This Provider
Dr. George L. Walker, DDS, MS, is a co-founder of Walker and Wright Orthodontics, serving patients across Freeport, IL and Monroe, WI. His path to orthodontics began at age 12, when a family friend completing specialty training at Northwest University Dental School in Chicago gave him care that transformed his smile and set the course for his career. Dr. Walker earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and both a Specialty Certificate and a Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, completing his graduate training in 1987. Over more than four decades in practice, he has transformed over 4,500 smiles across two communities. Dr. Walker integrates current technology, including Carestream CBCT 3D imaging, diode laser treatment, and 3D printing, to improve diagnostic precision, treatment efficiency, and patient comfort. A past president of the US Grant Component of the Illinois State Dental Society, he remains active in the American Association of Orthodontics and the Illinois Society of Orthodontics. He treats patients of all ages, from early interceptive care for children to full orthodontic correction for adults.
