Dr. Joon H. Han, MS, DDS, FACP is a board-certified prosthodontist and founder of Scharrington Dental in Schaumburg, Illinois. He is one of only 31 board-certified prosthodontists in the state of Illinois, a distinction earned by passing rigorous written and clinical examinations through the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Han completed undergraduate studies in Chemistry and Music at Illinois Wesleyan University, earned a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Illinois – Chicago, and then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery followed by three additional years of post-graduate prosthodontic specialty training at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. While in dental school, he received the Howard Kubuki Award for Superior Clinical Performance. He has presented clinical case studies at the Nobel Biocare World Conference (2005), the International Congress of Oral Implantology (2007), and the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (2007). Patients who have seen Dr. Han note his expertise, personable manner, and a non-judgmental approach that makes it easier to discuss long-avoided dental concerns.
