Dr. Khaled Abughazaleh is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon at American Dental in Chicago, holding dual board certifications from the American Boards of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Boards of Dental Anesthesiology. This rare combination means he is trained to perform complex surgical procedures and to administer the anesthesia that keeps patients safe and comfortable from start to finish. He earned his Bachelor in Dental Surgery from the University of Jordan in 1992, his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 1995, and completed specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then joined the UIC faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor, where he directed implant postgraduate courses and continuing education programs for other dental professionals. Dr. Abughazaleh has lectured on oral surgery and implant topics nationally and internationally, and he volunteers his surgical expertise to provide care for underserved patients abroad. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and served as former president of the Illinois Society of Dental Anesthesiology.
