Dr. Sherwin Arman, D.M.D., M.P.H., is a board-certified orofacial pain specialist and one of the most credentialed educators in his field. He serves as Director of the Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction residency program at UCLA School of Dentistry, the same program from which he graduated in 2011, and as Director of Continuing Dental Education at UCLA. He holds dual board certifications from the American Board of Orofacial Pain (ABOP) and the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM), a combination that positions him to evaluate complex cases where jaw pain, sleep-disordered breathing, and chronic headache overlap. His academic path spans UC Irvine, Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, USC, UCLA, and UC Berkeley, where he earned a Master of Public Health in 2018. He joined the UCLA faculty as a lecturer in 2012 and has dedicated his career to shaping how orofacial pain is taught and practiced. His core mission is to advance orofacial pain education for students, clinicians, and healthcare providers nationwide.
