Dr. Kirk Satrom is the founding orthodontist of what is now Olson Orthodontics in O'Fallon, Illinois. A retired colonel in the United States Air Force, Dr. Satrom brought military discipline and a precision-first mindset into his clinical work when he opened his practice on West State Street in 1999. For 14 years, he built a patient-centered model grounded in individualized treatment planning, in-house laboratory capability for faster appliance delivery, and a small-practice culture where every patient could speak directly to the doctor. His approach reflected a core belief: quality orthodontic care extends beyond clinical results and includes the warmth of every interaction and the confidence patients feel when they understand their own treatment plan. Dr. Satrom retired from clinical practice in 2013, and Dr. Lauren Hood-Olson subsequently acquired the practice. She has continued building on the foundation he established, expanding the treatment menu to include LightForce custom-printed braces, ICONIX® aesthetic brackets, and both Invisalign and 3M Clarity aligner systems.
