Dr. Lan Su, DMD, PhD, is one of a limited number of board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists in the United States who sees clinical patients in a private practice. She also holds board certification in Orofacial Pain and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Her training includes a PhD from the University of London (Guy's Hospital), a residency in Oral, Head and Neck Pathology at Emory University School of Medicine, and a fellowship in Orofacial Pain and TMJ Disorders at UCLA. She serves as a clinical professor in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at UCI Medical Center and as faculty at UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Su founded her practice to integrate three specialties traditionally available only in dental school settings: Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine, and Orofacial Pain, making them accessible to patients and clinicians across Los Angeles, Ventura County, and Orange County. Patients consistently recognize her highly specialized expertise in oral pathology and orofacial pain. As past president of the Southern California Academy of Oral Pathology and an internationally published researcher, Dr. Su brings rare academic authority to direct patient care.
