Dr. Lawrence Voss is an orthodontist with more than four decades of clinical experience in the Chicago area. He earned his D.D.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry in 1978 and completed his Certificate in Orthodontics at Loyola School of Dentistry in 1982. From 2005 through December 2016, Dr. Voss served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at UIC, spending eleven years teaching advanced orthodontic technique to dental residents. That teaching background sharpens his diagnostic approach: he evaluates the underlying bite and jaw relationship before recommending any treatment, not just the visible crowding or spacing. Dr. Voss treats both adults and children for crowding, spacing, overbites, openbites, and crossbites using fixed braces and clear aligner therapy. His years at UIC introduced him to 3-dimensional digital imaging, a diagnostic tool that maps tooth position, bone structure, and facial profile with a level of detail a standard X-ray cannot match.
