Dr. Lee Ceresa is an endodontist and owner of Illinois Valley Endodontics in Peru, Illinois, the community where he was born and raised. He earned his DDS from Creighton University in 1991, then served six years as an active-duty Naval Officer before completing his Endodontic Residency at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach, California, where he became Chief Resident. His research on radicular groove was published in the Journal of Endodontics in May 2000. Dr. Ceresa is specially trained in Microscopic Endodontic Procedures, using a Global Surgical Microscope that magnifies the treatment field beyond what the human eye can detect. This enables smaller instruments, reduced soft-tissue trauma, and improved healing. Combined with CBCT 3D imaging and digital radiography, his diagnostic capabilities exceed what most general dental offices provide. Patients consistently describe their visits as surprisingly comfortable; many report that the fear they brought in was gone by the end of the first visit. His conservative clinical approach means he avoids unnecessary treatment and explains each step before proceeding.
