About This Provider
Dr. Mark Henry, DDS, MS, founded LaSalle County Endodontics in Peru, Illinois in 1995 and has focused exclusively on root canal therapy and related endodontic procedures for 29 years. He earned his DDS from Loyola University Chicago College of Dental Studies and completed a Master of Science in Endodontics at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Before entering private practice, Dr. Henry served as a United States Public Health Service Commissioned Dental Officer on the Flathead Reservation Indian Health Service from 1991 to 1993, delivering specialized dental care to an underserved rural population. He later served as President of the Illinois Valley Dental Society and remains active in six professional dental associations. Dr. Henry uses a dental surgical microscope on every single case, a standard he has held throughout his career. This level of magnification allows him to find calcified canals, hairline fractures, and anatomy that X-rays alone cannot reveal, raising treatment outcomes from good to excellent. He also uses computerized apex locators to reduce X-ray exposure and ultra-quiet electric handpieces to lower patient anxiety during procedures.
