Dr. Mohammed H. Elnagar is a specialty-certified orthodontist, Associate Professor, and Director of the Digital and AI Laboratory at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry. He earned his DDS with honors as class Valedictorian, then completed a General Practice Residency, a Master of Dental Science, and a PhD in Oral Health Sciences, all at UIC. In 2022, he earned a certificate in Artificial Intelligence applications in healthcare from MIT. Dr. Elnagar focuses his clinical work on digital orthodontics, dentofacial orthopedics with skeletal anchorage, and surgical orthodontics. He is a Designated Burstone Fellow in Biomechanics, a recognition held by few orthodontists in the country, and has received the Robert Ricketts Award, Albert Westfall Award, and Burstone-Indiana Biomechanics Award from the American Association of Orthodontists. His research applies 3D imaging, 3D printing, and machine learning to improve how complex orthodontic cases are diagnosed, planned, and treated.
