She earned her dental degree and master's degree from the University of North Carolina and is a Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics, which means she has completed advanced training and testing in her specialty. Dr. Scheffler has a special interest in complex cases, including anterior open bites and advanced techniques using temporary anchorage devices and miniscrews—in fact, she teaches these specialized methods to other dentists at UNC.
