Dr. Scott Peterson earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2001, then completed an Orthodontics Certificate and Master of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 2004. He co-founded Orthodontic Associates in Bloomington, Illinois, where he and Dr. Finlen treat patients of all ages across Central Illinois. Dr. Peterson has published research in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and served as past president of the McLean County Dental Society, reflecting a level of academic and professional engagement that goes beyond typical community practice. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Illinois Society of Orthodontists. A Pekin, Illinois native who was part of Illinois Wesleyan University's 1996 Final Four basketball team, Dr. Peterson brings the same discipline and attention to detail to his clinical work. He remains active in the Bloomington community through the Kiwanis Club and annual fundraising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
