Dr. Tehemina Richardson is a Board-Certified pediatric dentist and Co-founder of Children's Dentistry in Park Ridge, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from New York University College of Dentistry, where she was admitted to the pediatric dental honors program and inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honors society. She received the 2003 AAPD/ASDC Predoctoral Student Award for outstanding promise in pediatric dentistry. Dr. Richardson holds Diplomate status from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, credentials requiring advanced examination beyond residency that fewer than a third of practicing pediatric dentists achieve. After 11 years with a large, respected Chicago-area pediatric practice, she opened her Park Ridge office in 2017. She has held medical and dental staff privileges at Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago since 2011. As recent past President of the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentistry, she was instrumental in creating and passing Illinois SB2822. As a parent of a special needs child herself, Dr. Richardson brings both advanced clinical training and firsthand personal insight to caring for children with complex support needs.
