Dr. Thomas E. Resnick, D.D.S., M.S., founded Pediatric Dentistry of the North Shore and spent more than 40 years shaping pediatric dental care across Chicago's North Shore. A graduate of the University of Illinois with both a doctorate in dental surgery and a master's degree in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Resnick built one of the region's most trusted specialty practices from the ground up. His peers recognized his expertise consistently: Chicago magazine named him the top pediatric dentist in the Chicago area in 2009, and he earned a Top Doc designation every year from 2008 through 2017. Chicago Consumers' Checkbook further distinguished him as the pediatric dentist most often referred to by other dentists in 2017. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Resnick contributed to the second edition of the medical textbook Pediatrics, served as a consultant to the American Dental Examiners, and taught as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chicago Medical School. He also taught in the General Practice Residency Program at Evanston Hospital. Dr. Resnick retired from active practice in 2023 and holds emeritus status at NorthShore University Hospitals and Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
