Dr. Timothy Aiossa is a certified periodontist and the owner of Aiossa Periodontics, a practice his father Dr. Domenic Aiossa founded in Elmwood Park, Illinois in 1948. Dr. Aiossa earned a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinois-Chicago, completed his DDS at Loyola University, and later returned to Loyola to earn his specialty degree in Periodontics. Before specializing, he spent three years practicing as a general dentist, giving him a broad clinical foundation that informs his periodontal work today. He also served as a clinical instructor at Loyola University for 12 years, training dentists in hands-on patient care. With more than 25 years of focused experience as a periodontist, Dr. Aiossa treats gum disease, places dental implants, performs bone and tissue grafts, and carries out surgical procedures including flap and osseous surgery. He practices alongside his sister Peggy, a hygienist with 20 years at the practice, and a front desk team with decades of tenure, building the kind of continuity that is rare in modern dental care.
