Dr. Tonya Volk, DDS, MS, co-founded Hurley & Volk Orthodontics in 2010 alongside Dr. Ryan Hurley, building a four-location practice across Chicago's northwest suburbs. Her academic record is among the strongest in American orthodontics: she earned a full-tuition Regent Scholarship to the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and graduated as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, one of the highest honors in the profession. She completed her orthodontic residency and earned a Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where the department later invited her to return as a clinical instructor. Her research has been published in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Volk also serves as Clinical Director of Operations for Smile Doctors, the national network Hurley & Volk Orthodontics is affiliated with.
